CaneSlice Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 31, 2026
CaneSlice is a polymer clay cane planning app. It helps you save cane projects, calculate a reduction plan, estimate slice counts, follow a bake checklist, and keep Cane Cards on your device.
Information You Create
You may create cane names, optional clay body notes, reduction measurements, slice plans, bake checklist progress, Cane Cards, credit ledger entries, and app preferences. CaneSlice stores this information locally on your device.
CaneSlice does not require an account and does not provide cloud sync. If you delete app data or uninstall the app, local records may not be recoverable.
Device Permissions and Photos
CaneSlice asks for camera access only when you choose to take a photo for a cane end-grain, bake proof, or Cane Card. CaneSlice asks for photo library read access only when you choose an existing image. CaneSlice asks for photo library add access only when you choose to save a Cane Card or proof image to Photos.
You can use the main reduction, slicing, bake checklist, and card features without adding photos.
Purchases and Apple Services
CaneSlice may offer consumable credits through Apple In-App Purchase. Credits can support actions such as saving Cane Cards to Photos, extra card capacity, or optional clay preset content. Apple handles payment processing. CaneSlice does not receive your full payment card details.
Consumable credits are not restored through a Restore Purchases action.
Tracking, Analytics, Advertising, and AI
CaneSlice does not use tracking, advertising, or analytics SDKs in the reviewed build. CaneSlice does not use remote AI for the reduction engine. The calculation and planning workflow runs on device.
Network Access and Third Parties
The reviewed product facts do not show account services, cloud sync, social sharing, or remote AI services for CaneSlice. Apple services may be used for In-App Purchase and photo library permissions.
Retention, Deletion, and Security
CaneSlice keeps your local records and media until you edit them, delete them, or remove the app. Local device protections, such as your device passcode and operating system security, help protect app data stored on your device.
Changes
This policy may be updated when CaneSlice changes its features, data handling, or purchase behavior. The effective date above shows when this draft was last updated.
